Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using ICANReady. By accessing or using our service, you agree to be bound by these terms.

Important — please read first

ICANReady is a document preparation and organisation tool only. It is not a medical assessment, legal advice service, or official NDIS planning tool. Documents generated by ICANReady are for personal preparation purposes only and have no formal legal standing. ICANReady is not affiliated with the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA), the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), or the Centre for Disability Studies.

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using ICANReady ("the Service"), including joining the waitlist or using the document preparation tool, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. These terms apply to all visitors, waitlist members, and paying users.

2. Description of service

ICANReady provides a web-based tool that helps users organise and articulate their support needs across the 12 domains used in the I-CAN v6 assessment framework. The Service uses AI to help structure user-provided descriptions into document format.

The Service is designed to help users prepare for a formal I-CAN v6 needs assessment conducted by an accredited assessor appointed by the NDIA. It does not replace, replicate, or constitute such an assessment.

3. What we do not provide

ICANReady does not provide:

  • Medical or clinical assessments of any kind
  • Legal advice or representation
  • Disability support services
  • Official NDIS planning or funding determinations
  • Guarantees of any particular NDIS funding outcome
  • Advice on whether you or anyone you care for will qualify for NDIS funding

Any document produced by ICANReady should be reviewed by the user and, where appropriate, by a qualified Support Coordinator, allied health professional, or legal representative before use.

4. User responsibilities

When using ICANReady, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and truthful information about support needs and daily life observations
  • Not include real names, NDIS numbers, Medicare numbers, or other direct personal identifiers in the functional description fields (these should only be added at the final PDF export step)
  • Use the Service only for lawful purposes
  • Not attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or resell the Service or its outputs
  • Not use the Service to generate documents for people whose support needs you do not have direct knowledge of or authority to represent
  • Understand that you are responsible for reviewing, verifying, and deciding whether to use any document generated by the Service

5. No warranty on outcomes

ICANReady makes no warranty, express or implied, that using our documents will result in any particular NDIS funding decision, plan approval, or assessment outcome. NDIS funding decisions are made solely by the NDIA based on a formal assessment process. The accuracy of AI-generated content depends on the quality and detail of information you provide. You should always review documents carefully before use.

6. Payments and credits

Access to complete 12-domain preparation documents requires the purchase of credits. The following terms apply to all purchases:

  • All prices are displayed in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST where applicable
  • Credits are non-refundable once a document has been generated and downloaded
  • Unused credits expire 12 months from the date of purchase
  • Credits are non-transferable and may only be used by the account holder
  • If a technical error prevents document generation, we will restore the credit used

Refund requests for unused credits may be submitted to us within 30 days of purchase. We handle refund requests on a case-by-case basis at our discretion.

7. Intellectual property

The ICANReady platform, including its design, code, and underlying systems, is owned by ICANReady and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. The content of documents you generate using your own information belongs to you. You grant us a limited licence to process your inputs solely for the purpose of generating your document. We do not claim ownership over your personal content.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, ICANReady and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of NDIS funding, loss of data, or any harm arising from reliance on documents generated by the Service.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, including any consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded by law.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that documents will meet every individual's needs. AI-generated content may contain errors or omissions. You should always read and review any document carefully before using it.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Service for users who violate these Terms of Service, engage in fraudulent activity, or use the Service in a way that harms other users or the integrity of the NDIS system. Upon termination, any unused credits will be refunded at our discretion.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. The current version of these terms is always available at this URL.

12. Governing law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of Australia. Any disputes arising from use of the Service shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Australia. For unresolved disputes, you may also contact the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) or your relevant state or territory consumer protection agency.
